Terms and Conditions Weekly Service
Pates Pool and Spa hereafter referred to as “PATES”
- This Agreement shall not be binding until PATES receives and accepts the submission by the Homeowner. PATES reserves the right to reject this submission/application.
- PATES reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time.
- If applicable, Homeowner must have completed a current year opening and closing agreement with PATES for this pool/spa.
- For weekly services:
- Homeowner agrees to notify PATES of any changes in water clarity or quality between visits.
- Homeowner agrees to notify PATES of any planned pool parties that may negatively impact the balance and sanitation levels of the water to allow PATES to proactively treat the water.
- Homeowner agrees to provide PATES access to a working spigot and electricity.
- Homeowner agrees to maintain the pool or spa between PATES visits.
- Homeowner must adjust the heater settings as recommended by the heater manufacturer.
- Homeowner agrees to monitor the water level, adding or removing water as appropriate.
- Homeowner must have a chlorinator or other sanitizing system present and in proper working order.
- Homeowner must have routine repairs and maintenance up to date. Such repairs include, but are not limited to; leaks, faulty equipment, brittle/broken valve handles, sand changes and filter cartridges. PATES will not be responsible for any damages resulting from neglect or disrepair.
- Your prepayment is required. We will bill for weekly services in 6 equal installments. The first charge begins with receipt of your fully executed contract or April 1st, whichever is earlier. The remaining installments will be May 1 and the first of each month thereafter, and ending (last charge) September 1. If you have not prepaid, we will not perform the scheduled services. Once payment is made, we will reschedule the services at our earliest convenience.
- Weekly service does NOT include chemicals or labor for treating white mold, black algae or ammonia. If applicable, we will charge your credit card for the standard labor rates plus chemicals for those services immediately after the time of service.
- If you would like to cancel this agreement, you may do so without penalty if cancelled at least 15 days prior to your scheduled pool opening or the first of the month.
- If you have a balance due upon completion of our work, and your credit card on file is declined, delinquent payments shall incur a finance charge at the rate of eighteen (18%) per annum from the date until paid. PATES shall be entitled to recover attorney fees, costs and expenses incurred to enforce the terms of this contract, including required payments.
- PATES shall not be held responsibility for damage to grass, shrubbery, trees, walks, wildlife, driveways or patios when backwashing, draining, and/or cleaning the filter due to discharge of chemicals and/or debris from the pool water and/or fitlers. This includes run off to neighboring properties.
- PATES shall not be held responsible for any damage to the pool deck, concrete, coping, handrail/ladder anchors, sports equipment anchors, tile, water features, automatic cover fabric, automatic cover rails, automatic cover mechanisms, dive boards, other pool accessories or other pool features.
- PATES shall not be held responsible for any damage to the pool, its deck or other related parts due to hydrostatic (ground water) pressure.
- PATES shall not be held responsible for faulty or malfunctioning equipment, including, but not limited to pumps, filters, heaters, heat exchangers, salt systems or chlorinators. Further, PATES shall not be held responsible for any leaks in pool/spa or its equipment.
- Adverse weather conditions may cause delay in service and may impact what extra services we can render. After a weather event, all services will be performed in the order in which they were originally scheduled, starting the next working day. Inclement weather several days before your originally scheduled appointment may impact your appointment.
- Services include
- Pool weekly chemistry check service includes the following: Water testing for: Free and total chlorine, pH, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Stabilizer, Copper and iron, Phosphates, Salt when applicable. Chemically treating the water for proper balance based on the above test including filling the chlorinator or adding salt as applicable. Emptying the skimmers baskets and pump baskets. Backwashing sand filters as applicable. Spraying off cartridge filters as needed.
- Spa weekly service includes the following: Water testing for: Free and total chlorine or bromine as applicable, pH, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Stabilizer, Copper and iron, Phosphates. Chemically treating the water for proper balance based on the above test including filling the chlorine or bromine floater. Vacuuming the spa. Wiping down the waterline. Spraying off cartridge filters monthly. Draining and cleaning the spa twice per year.
- Pool weekly service includes the following: Water testing for: Free and total chlorine, pH, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Stabilizer, Copper and iron, Phosphates, Salt when applicable. Chemically treating the water for proper balance based on the above test including filling the chlorinator or adding salt as applicable. Vacuuming the pool. Skimming leaves and debris from the pool. Scrubbing the waterline. Emptying the skimmers baskets and pump baskets. Backwashing sand filters as applicable. Spraying off cartridge filters as needed.
